You see a craps table with a few open seats. Which location should you take? That’s a matter of individual preference. Is there a captivating guy or lady wagering by themselves at one end of the table? Which gamblers are using cigarettes? Which appear cynical? Who seem inebriated or obnoxious? Choose a position where you’ll feel the most at ease.

I like participating on the end, immediately next to the croupier. On the end, I do not have to be concerned about players on both sides of me. I don’t like betting near to the stickman as I constantly seem to get in the way of them reaching for the dice or angling the stick.

After playing for a bit, you’ll get a sense for your preferred spot. You do not have a pick when it’s busy. If you end up in an awful spot (like, an annoying person is beside you), just switch to an additional free location. If the table is full, wait until someone walks away and take their seat. Be aware of a gambler "coloring up," which is an indication that she’s leaving, and inform the dealer that you would like to take over her seat. The croupier will then hold that spot and not allow a new player to quickly step in. The croupier will amiably request the new competitor to switch to the spot that you vacate. Obviously, when you change locations, do not leave your your chips.

Gamblers next to you can affect your mood and entire betting experience. They can make it exciting or miserable. You may get stuck next to a smoking obese guy with horrid body smell, or it may be a bunch of drunk angels busting out of their skimpy tops. So, choose your spot wisely.
